Cookie Policy

This is an English translation, provided for convenience. The version française is the legally binding text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. KiteDeck uses only two, both necessary for the service: no advertising cookies, no audience-measurement cookies, no social-media cookies. This is why no banner asks for your consent: French law requires it for optional trackers, not for those without which the service cannot work (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).

Cookies we set

NameWhat it is forDurationWhen it is set
sb-…-auth-tokenKeeping you signed in to your KiteDeck workspace. It holds an encrypted session token, never your password.400 days at mostWhen you sign in. Removed when you sign out.
NEXT_LOCALERemembering the language you chose, so you are not asked again on every page.1 yearWhen you choose a language (public pages or Settings).

These cookies belong to KiteDeck (kitedeck.fr domain): no other site reads them and they are not used for tracking. A visitor who browses the website without signing in or changing language receives none.

Other browser storage

  • Notifications: if a member turns them on, the browser registers a small program (a “service worker”) that displays them. It keeps no browsing data and is removed when notifications are turned off. The data involved is described in the privacy policy.
  • Audience measurement: pages of the kitedeck.fr website are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies or identifiers: a visitor is not recognised from one day to the next. The application and the operators' booking pages are not measured.

Payments

Online payments (deposits and balances) are made on a Stripe page (checkout.stripe.com) to which KiteDeck redirects you. Stripe sets its own cookies there, in particular to prevent fraud, under its own responsibility: see Stripe's cookie policy. No Stripe cookie is set on KiteDeck pages.

Video

The demo video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. Until you click play, the page only shows an image served by kitedeck.fr: nothing is loaded from YouTube. Clicking loads the youtube-nocookie.com player (privacy-enhanced mode), which may then store data in your browser, under Google's responsibility: see Google's cookie policy.

Deleting or blocking cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Deleting the session cookie signs you out; deleting the language cookie brings you back to your browser's language. Blocking them entirely prevents you from staying signed in to the application.
